LNP pledges to de-amalgamate Douglas The opposition leader Lawrence Springborg and the shadow minister for Local Government, Howard Hobbs,have jointly signed a letter of committment to de-amalgamate Douglas from Cairns Regional Council should the LNP be elected on March 21. FODS welcomes this move and urges you to look closely at all candidates' position regarding de-amalgamation.
